Secret Identity: The Mind
Real Name: Johnathan Kerrick
Gender: Male
Species: Homo Superior (Mutant)
Affiliations: Megatropolis Daily Globe, Heroes Anonymous, Section Five
Age: 27
Height: 6' 4"
Weight: 184 lbs.
Eye Color: Violet
Hair Color: Black
Costume: Dual. During the day, light purple tights with a deep purple "M" emblazoned on his chest. At night, a reflective black bodysuit, mask, and gloves, with matte black boots and utility belt. There is a red "M" stamped on the chest. Eyes are coverd by a psuedo plastic of unknown origin. The plastic has a golden sheen to it. Recently gained a costume specifically for Heroes Anonymous work.
Powers: Telekentic to an unknown degree (Thought to be several metric tons). His latent empathy had recently been awakened by an unknown feral psion from the future. Currently, he has found that he has the ability to "see" emotions as waves of color, though the various 'colors' are usually too confused to make any sense out of. He can also send telempathic messages, though only with those people with whome he has shared a measure of psychic trauma with. When in contact with someone, he can sense and attempt to influence their emotions. When in skin-to-skin contact, he can read their mind (And vice versa, if they are trained so).
Weakness: Johnathan thinks in the realm of what he can see. If he cannot see something, he generally cannot affect it with his powers. Note: Objects created with his powers stay in existance when he looks away. His empathy is incredibly powerful (Analgous to his telekinetic strength). To affect someone's emtions, he must either be in skin contact with them or have a preexisting empathic connection with them. Currently, those only exist between himself, Emily Ferrel, and a clone of Emily Ferrel's future self, known as Velvet Darkness.
Personality: Anti-social. He adopts a "seen it all, know it all" attitude around other superheroes and superheroines. He seems oddly protective of very young superheroes and superheroines, often barring them from direct action. He is extremely protective of female empaths, and seems to view them as a personal charge, although he has never made a sexual overture to them. Highly cynical and very jaded. High chance for a flip-over to villiany.
Non-Super Powers: An ability to blend into crowds. Minor Tae-Kwan-Do training.

Subject: Our Mutual Friend
Dear Norman Bliss,
This is the Psion, one of New York City's resident superheroes. I was the mentor and counselor of the superhero now know as the Mind, and was in a unique position to observe him in various situations. I understand that he is coming under your leadership now, however indirectly, and thought it prudent that you should know some facts about Johnathan. Enclosed in this E-mail is a profile of him I wrote up several years ago, as he was begining his apprenticeship.
This is vital information. Please read consider it.
I remain, as always,
Your Friend,
Anthony Blake
The Psion
